The Rotary Club of East Montgomery County was proud to welcome Jason Culpepper, Houston Market President for Community Impact, as the featured speaker at our recent luncheon.
Jason shared exciting news about Community Impact’s expansion into the New Caney-Porter area, with the inaugural issue hitting mailboxes this month. As the largest local news organization in Texas, Community Impact publishes 39 print editions reaching more than 2.5 million residents across Austin-Bastrop, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. In addition to the monthly print newspaper, readers can also stay informed through the free Morning Impact email newsletter, delivered daily — all made possible by the support of local advertisers.
Jason joined Community Impact in 2009 and is passionate about the company’s mission to inform and connect communities. In an industry that has faced many challenges, Community Impact continues to thrive, and Jason is proud to be part of an organization that consistently raises the standard for hyperlocal journalism.
A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in radio and television production, Jason began his career as a major account executive with the Houston Chronicle. He later served in multiple leadership roles, including regional director and publisher at Houston NewHomeGuide.com, before bringing his expertise and community-minded approach to Community Impact.
To show their appreciation for Jason’s insightful presentation and commitment to keeping our community informed and engaged, the Rotary Club will donate an elementary book to a local school in his honor.
