One of the Rotary Club of East Montgomery County (RCEMC) projects is to help children in the area with basic needs. Each year, RCEMC members donate packages of underwear to distribute to local school counselors.
"The counselors know which students may need the essentials and are happy to receive this donation," said RCEMC member Deitra Johnson. This year, the club donated more than 320 pairs of underwear to elementary students in the New Caney and Splendora school districts.Rotarians are committed to improving the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.
