t Darbie Lindsey officially began her term at the July meeting of the Rotary Club of East Montgomery County, addressing members with an inspiring vision for the year ahead. Lindsey emphasized the importance of local and global leadership, speaking about the roles of Rotary International, District 5910 leadership, and the club's dedicated officers.
In outlining the club’s goals, Lindsey highlighted four key areas of focus: enhancing participant engagement, increasing the club's impact, expanding its reach, and improving adaptability. These goals aim to strengthen the club’s presence and effectiveness in serving the community.
Lindsey also shared a motivating quote from Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick: "Don't misunderstand me—we are not going to end polio or bring peace to the world by waving a wand and saying some funny words. It's up to you. You create the magic with every act of service, every dollar donated, and every new member."
