The Rotary Club of East Montgomery County continues to make a meaningful impact in the community through its mission to promote literacy and serve local residents. At its luncheon on Tuesday, the club honored Ronnie Cooke and Century Concrete for their vital support in installing the organization’s fifth Little Library.

The newest Little Library, now located at J&R’s Ace Hardware in Porter, offers free books to community members of all ages, encouraging reading and knowledge-sharing. With literacy at the core of the Rotary Club’s mission, these libraries serve as beacons of learning throughout East Montgomery County.

“Ronnie Cooke and Century Concrete have been generous partners in helping us expand access to books,” said a club representative. “Their commitment to literacy has made a lasting difference, and we’re proud to recognize them for their continued support.”

In addition to celebrating literacy efforts, Rotary members rolled up their sleeves to serve another vital cause. During the luncheon, they assembled breakfast-themed lunch bags for Meals on Wheels, providing nutritious snacks and uplifting notes to local seniors. The act of service underscores the club’s dedication to addressing the needs of vulnerable residents across the county.

The Rotary Club of East Montgomery County invites community members and businesses to get involved in its continued efforts to champion education, service, and connection.
